Meet the artist: lynneannec

Hi, I'm lynneannec, raised in the 9th Ward in New Orleans, Louisiana, in what was then called, East Gentilly. I grew up jumping into giant oaks to pull moss that hung like tangled hair in a field behind my house. I took the the public service bus with three transfers on a dime token, and a street car down St. Charles Avenue, to sing in plays directed by the great Ty Tracy at Gallier Hall. I've lived on the West Pearl River in the Honey Island Swamp, and on Bayou Castine, where alligators bask in the sun. Louisiana, ALL of Louisiana! ...the people, the culture, the language, the food, the nature... is truly unique. Now, I've returned to my ancestral home of Northwest Arkansas! Arkansas is the Natural State, full of gorgeous scenery, waterfalls, caves, and mountains. It's growing and exploding in so many exciting ways. I have been inspired my entire life to create art by my surroundings. I do it to make people happy, because creating it makes me happy! Here, on this page, I will share some of my art with you. I hope you enjoy it.
